MLOps Engineer

You’ll take ownership of designing, scaling, and optimising the backend systems that power Almedia’s payout automation and growth experiments. Your work will enable the company to transform complex business logic into reliable, data-driven systems at scale.

This is a hands-on role involving active participation in architecture, automation, and the delivery of high-performance Python systems.

Types of problems you’ll be solving

• Building automated payout structure generation and transformation systems

• Designing and implementing dynamic, personalised payout algorithms based on user behaviour

• Developing continuous split-testing infrastructure to accelerate payout experimentation

• Scaling high-performance Python systems integrated with real-time data and ML pipelines

Your role

• Lead end-to-end delivery: build, deploy, and optimise backend systems and services at scale

• Set technical direction and coding standards for Python development across ML and data projects

• Align technical architecture with business priorities to reduce complexity and improve efficiency

• Partner with ML engineers and product teams to build frameworks for experiment versioning and evaluation

• Refine system reliability and performance to ensure robustness

You have

• Proven expertise in building and maintaining large-scale backend systems in production, ideally in high-scale environments

• Mastery of Python and software architecture principles (System Design, Clean Code)

• Strong programming background in SQL, with hands-on experience in cloud environments (AWS/GCP)

• Experience with data pipelines, A/B testing infrastructure, or algorithmic personalisation

• Ability to provide technical leadership and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Bonus points for

• Passion for gaming and strong understanding of player behaviour

• Experience with adtech, monetisation platforms, or the gambling industry

• Familiarity with gaming KPIs such as pLTV, retention, and ROAS
