About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Mitigation Project Manager to oversee restoration projects from initial loss assessment through completion. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, field-based environment and enjoys managing multiple projects, coordinating crews, working with adjusters, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for customers impacted by property damage.
This is a remote-based role with local travel (generally within a 2-hour radius). You’ll have flexibility in your schedule, strong operational support, and the ability to make a direct impact as part of a growing restoration division.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect losses and develop accurate scopes of work, timelines, and budgets for mitigation projects
Work directly with insurance adjusters and clients to align on scope, pricing, and expectations
Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, profitability, and on-time delivery
Communicate scopes clearly to technicians and crew leaders; provide ongoing field support
Coordinate daily crew deployment and resource scheduling with the Project Coordinator
Prepare and submit change orders, supplements, and documentation as required
Monitor job costs, margins, and production efficiency; review profitability at project close
Oversee quality control and conduct final walkthroughs to ensure standards are met
Track equipment, materials, and job documentation accurately within internal systems
Assist with billing, collections, and weekly forecasting in collaboration with accounting
Lead, coach, and support mitigation staff while promoting accountability and safety
Enforce safety standards across all job sites and lead safety meetings as required
Participate in weekly operations and leadership meetings
Qualifications
2–3+ years of hands-on mitigation/restoration experience (water, mold, fire preferred)
Strong knowledge of scoping losses, estimating, and working with insurance adjusters
Experience managing crews, equipment, and multiple active projects
Solid understanding of job costing, supplements, and change orders
Ability to work independently with minimal micromanagement
Preferred Certifications/Skills
IICRC certifications (Water, Mold, Fire preferred)
Familiarity with Xactimate, PSA/Proven Jobs, HubSpot, MICA or similar platforms
OSHA or other safety-related certifications a plus
Strong documentation and reporting skills
