In this role, you will apply high-quality finishes to custom wood products, ensuring they meet our rigorous standards. This position involves working with a variety of finishing materials and equipment, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
We are hiring for first shift (5:00AM - 1:30PM).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Apply paints, stains, varnishes, lacquers, and polyurethanes to wood and other substrates using spray guns, hand sprayers, and other finishing tools.
Perform surface preparation tasks, including sanding, filling, and routing.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the spray booth and finishing area.
Conduct quality inspections to ensure that finished products meet specifications and standards.
Touch up on job sites as required.
Mix custom stains to match existing millwork or control samples
Perform miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned by management.
All other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years of experience in wood finishing, experience with paint sprayers, paint machines, and other finishing equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspections.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding finishing requirements.
Ability to make quality decisions, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to collaborate.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
