What You'll Do
As a Cabinet & Millwork Installer at Ackard, you’ll be hands-on in bringing our custom designs to life. You’ll be responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality installation of cabinetry and millwork produced by our in-house cabinet division. From reviewing plans to the final touch-ups, your precision and craftsmanship will ensure every install meets our standards—and wows our clients.
Your day-to-day will include:
Reviewing plans and installation instructions to fully understand the scope of work
Asking clarifying questions to ensure accuracy and alignment with expectations
Measuring, marking, and laying out guidelines for installations
Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment
Installing, repairing, and servicing millwork components
Keeping a daily log of progress using Buildertrend software
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe worksite through daily and weekly housekeeping
Following all company policies and safety procedures
Pitching in on other related tasks as needed by management
What You Bring
Certification in cabinetry or equivalent hands-on experience
Minimum 2 years of experience installing residential cabinetry and millwork
Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality craftsmanship and meeting deadlines
Positive attitude and professionalism, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Self-motivated and goal-driven, with a passion for doing great work
Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
Working Conditions
Able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs independently and over 75 lbs with assistance
Requires physical stamina, including the ability to engage core and lower back muscles for extended periods without fatigue
Work environments include indoor and outdoor settings, often in variable weather conditions
May work independently, as part of a team, or with supervision
Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, construction-related dust, fumes, and airborne particles
Must be comfortable working in conditions typical of residential construction sites
Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times on site
