Job Description
Purpose: Responsible for operating and maintaining 5-axis machining centers with multi-pallet systems to produce high quality parts efficiently and safely, while ensuring quality and accuracy of machined parts and supporting production efficiency. He/She is responsible for executing production programs, managing material flow, and performing routine maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and optimize production processes.
Key Area of Responsibilities:
• Installing, aligning and securing cutting tools, fixtures and workpieces on the milling machine to prepare for machining process.
• Review computer-aided design, blueprints and technical drawings to understand the specifications and dimensions of the product parts.
• Produce part and components according to drawing, specialization and instructions.
• To ensure activities in shopfloor are compliance to documented procedure.
• To ensure product quality meet specification as specified in the drawing, procedure and process plan.
• To work efficiently in based on work priorities with accordance to the allocated estimated time frame.
• To ensure proper 5S housekeeping practices at all times.
• To identify and highlight any machine damages or any other issues that refrain from completing the tasks.
• To update the necessary documents to keep track on progress of project.
Requirements:
Qualification & Experiences:
• Knowledge of Heidenhain machine control system operation and Flexible.
• Manufacturing System (Soflex/Fastems) are advantageous.
• Knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, and fixture setup.
• Understanding of coolant management systems.
• Knowledge of quality control and inspection methods.
• Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Familiarity with measurement tools.
• Understanding machine calibration procedures.
• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols (e.g. lockout/tagout, personal protective equipment).
