We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction aligned with the Cambridge curriculum, preferably IGCSE and AS & A Level. Based in Bangalore, this role involves creating an engaging learning environment that encourages critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and a deep understanding of historical perspectives. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore historical events, develop research skills, and connect past developments to contemporary contexts. Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging History lessons aligned with the Cambridge (IGCSE/AS & A Level) curriculum
• Design structured lesson plans, assessments, and learning materials in accordance with curriculum standards
• Foster critical thinking, research abilities, and analytical skills through discussions, debates, and project-based learning
• Prepare students effectively for internal assessments and board examinations
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive and timely feedback
• Support students in research projects, presentations, and coursework requirements
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and academic progress
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings and provide academic updates when required
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote interdisciplinary learning and contribute to school initiatives
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
What Makes You a Great Fit
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History or a related field
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred
• Prior experience teaching Cambridge/IGCSE curriculum is an advantage
• Strong subject knowledge with the ability to simplify complex historical concepts
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to engage students through interactive and inquiry-based teaching methods
