We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction aligned with the Cambridge curriculum, preferably IGCSE and AS & A Level. Based in Bangalore, this role involves creating an engaging learning environment that encourages critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and a deep understanding of historical perspectives. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore historical events, develop research skills, and connect past developments to contemporary contexts. This position requires strong subject expertise, structured lesson planning, and a commitment to academic excellence and student growth.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging History lessons aligned with the Cambridge (IGCSE/AS & A Level) curriculum
• Design structured lesson plans, assessments, and learning materials in accordance with curriculum standards
• Foster critical thinking, research abilities, and analytical skills through discussions, debates, and project-based learning
• Prepare students effectively for internal assessments and board examinations
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive and timely feedback
• Support students in research projects, presentations, and coursework requirements
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and academic progress
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings and provide academic updates when required
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote interdisciplinary learning and contribute to school initiatives
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History or a related field
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred
• Prior experience teaching Cambridge/IGCSE curriculum is an advantage
• Strong subject knowledge with the ability to simplify complex historical concepts
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to engage students through interactive and inquiry-based teaching methods
• Strong organizational and assessment planning skills
• Commitment to fostering student curiosity, independent thinking, and academic discipline
