Middle Office Analyst

Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking a Middle Office Analyst to join our team in Singapore. The Middle Office team at HRT is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the firm’s post-trade platform. We design and operate the systems and processes that reconcile the firm’s global, multi asset-class trading with our various brokers and counterparties, and we collaborate with multiple teams to research corporate actions, maintain commissions programs, and track all costs incurred by HRT’s trading.

The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about technology, wants to work on a variety of operational projects using whatever tools best solve the problem at hand, and has excellent cross-functional communications skills, along with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with external counterparties to monitor and resolve daily position, trade, and cash discrepancies, supporting effective book management

• Work closely with multiple internal stakeholders to identify and implement improvements to current workflows

• Document complex processes to develop middle office guidelines

• Onboard new trading into existing technology and platforms

• Reconcile daily position, cash, and PnL breaks in coordination with both internal and external parties

• Research & process applicable corporate actions

• Maintain and update the commission structures across all markets

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, Physics, Math, or a related technical discipline

• 2-10 years of relevant industry experience is preferred

• Experience with Python and UNIX operating systems (we use Linux)

• Experience with SQL and relational databases

• Experience in the maintenance, planning, or construction of Order Management System (OMS)/ Portfolio Management System (PMS)/ Execution Management System (EMS) is preferred

• Understanding of corporate actions and exposure to the complex commission schedule of various markets

• Familiarity with AI prompting preferred

• Ability to debug, analyze, and troubleshoot problems quickly under pressure
