About the Role:
• SteerBridge Strategies is seeking an experience Software Engineer to support our F-35 modernization initiative. This role is pivotal in advancing the next generation of aviation technology by designing and implementing scalable, secure, and data-driven solutions that enhance the operational capabilities of the world’s most advanced fighter platform. You’ll be part of a highly skilled engineering team committed to reliability, agility, and innovation in support of the mission.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the design and development of microservices, APIs, and responsive front-ends integrated with complex systems.
• Develop, test, and maintain software applications using Agile methodologies to ensure scalability, reliability, and high performance.
• Participate in architecture and design discussions, offering technical input and learning from senior engineers.
• Implement/Support Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or CloudFormation for scalable deployments across AWS environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, perform peer code reviews, and ensure quality standards across all development efforts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data science, and mission teams to deliver high-value, integrated software solutions.
• Assist in the development/refinement of data models and workflows—performing problem scoping, data cleaning, analysis, and testing.
• Support compliance with cybersecurity and RMF/ATO requirements to maintain operational integrity and security standards.
Required Qualifications:
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
• Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• 4-6 years of full-stack software engineering experience in complex, production environments.
• Proficiency in React.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience working with MERN/PERN stack: MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience developing and deploying applications using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Docker, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), and CI/CD integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
