Job Description:
Will be responsible for integrating complex systems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, specifically within the realms of networking and platform systems integration. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of hardware and software solutions, delivering high-performance systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in networking and integrating aircraft systems, as well as a strong technical background in troubleshooting and system optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Integration: Design, implement, and troubleshoot systems integrations for both networking and aircraft subsystems.
Networking Expertise: Collaborate with the networking team to design and implement reliable and secure network communications for aircraft systems, ensuring optimal data transfer and performance.
Platform
Integration: Work with the aircraft integration team to ensure the proper functioning of avionics and mission-critical systems within the aircraft.
Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with various engineering teams to ensure that all systems components are correctly integrated and satisfy system requirements.
Testing & Validation: Conduct rigorous integration testing, validation, and verification to ensure systems meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve integration issues that arise during development or post-deployment, providing solutions and support to engineering teams.
Documentation: Prepare technical documentation to support software development, system integration, configuration, and validation processes.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of best practices and processes for integration to improve efficiency and reduce risks.
Work Environment:
Office or lab-based, with occasional travel (up to 25%) to customer or test sites as needed.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in systems integration, with a focus on networking and aircraft systems.
Experience with avionics, flight control systems, or mission systems integration in aircraft.
Experience working with Linux Operating Systems.
Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.) and how they apply to real-time aircraft communication systems.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to aircraft/ground systems integration.
Skills:
Proficiency in systems integration tools and techniques.
Hands-on experience with network configuration, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
Familiarity with embedded systems and software integration.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical teams and provide status updates.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred:
Experience with specific communication protocols (1553, UART, etc.).
Knowledge of systems like radios, GPS, IFF, and other airborne mission systems.
Familiarity with simulation tools used in aircraft integration.
Knowledge of aircraft safety protocols and standards.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
