The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist to join the Industrial Security team supporting the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) team in Seal Beach, CA.
The experienced security professional will be responsible for conducting complex security inquiries, compliance assessments, and leading implementation of security controls in accordance with DoDM 5205.07. This role includes responsibility for media control, serving as the Accountability Officer.
Position Responsibilities:
• Lead security compliance assessments and self-inspections in accordance with DoDM 5205.07 requirements
• Identify and resolve security deficiencies to ensure compliance with DoD Industrial Security Program policies
• Conduct and oversee security inquiries and investigations consistent with DoD directives
• Develop and deliver security education and awareness programs aligned with DoDM 5205.07 guidance
• Manage supplier and subcontractor compliance activities per DoD security standards
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance security program effectiveness
• Build relationships with customers and stakeholders to support mission requirements
• Manage media control responsibilities, including accountability, safeguarding, and dissemination of Top Secret materials in compliance with DoDM 5205.07
• Serve as the Accountability Officer, ensuring strict adherence to DoD policies and procedures for all accountable media up to Top Secret information control, including media handling, storage, and transmission
• Coordinate with security personnel to maintain strict control over classified media, conduct regular inventories, audits, and reporting as required by DoDM 5205.07
• Work independently and mentors junior staff
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
• 3+ years of experience in Industrial Security
• Ability to obtain and maintain access to a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Program (SAP) access
• Ability to travel 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Experience applying AI/ML to automate security compliance, threat detection, or process optimization
• Experience with MS Office and security analytics tool
• Experience with strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $94,350 - $127,650
A Signing Bonus may be offered to qualified candidates.
