The Washington, DC office of a top tier law firm seeks a mid/senior-level associate for its customs compliance practice. The ideal candidate should have:
• a minimum of 4-6 years customs compliance experience in a large law firm or government agency
• relevant experience includes counseling clients on customs issues (e.g., classification, valuation, marking, preference claims), conducting compliance reviews, drafting prior disclosures, representing clients before US Customs and Border Protection, etc
• top academic credentials
• strong analytical ability
• excellent communication and writing skills required
• ability to function smoothly in a global team environment with culturally diverse team members
• work well with outside counsel
• must be admitted to and a member in good standing of a US State Bar
