Job Description:
The Beijing office of an international law firm with some 1,400 attorneys, seeks a highly motivated mid-level associate to join our Business & Finance Practice.
Practice Description:
The Business and Finance Practice is composed of more than 400 lawyers in offices throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East who focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), including joint ventures, spin-offs, and strategic alliances, as well as private equity, private investment fund, finance, restructuring, capital markets, corporate governance, emerging business, outsourcing, real estate, and tax matters.
Practice Facts and Rankings:
• Advised on more than 600 M&A transactions globally in the last five years, with a combined market value of more than $200 billion.
• More than 400 venture capital financing transactions completed worldwide in the last five years.
• More than 150 private equity transactions completed in the last five years.
• Clients include more than 700 mutual funds, venture capital funds, private equity funds, and hedge funds worldwide.
• More than $5 billion in venture financing transactions globally in the last five years.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidates will have experience in financing transactions by representing institutions, sponsors, borrowers and investors in a variety of international financing transactions, including project financings, secured/unsecured syndicated facilities, asset-based financings, first lien/second lien financings, subordinated debt instruments and mezzanine financings, as well as energy and global infrastructure developments. Further, candidates having experience in a wide range of onshore, offshore, upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas projects is desirable. Candidates must possess excellent academic credentials as well as strong organization, writing, and analytical skills.
