Mid Back-End Engineer - Sportsbook (Tiger)

ABOUT THE ROLE
LeoVegas Group is building something special—a world-class team dedicated to creating the best Sportsbook platform in the market. We are seeking a dynamic Backend Engineer to join our Tiger Team, a specialized unit working in a high-volume, real-time environment.
You will play a crucial role in driving our organization's growth by integrating data feeds with our modern trading system and transactional betting platform. Your contributions will cover maintaining our current betting services as well as architecting new, scalable capabilities for our users.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Core Development: Build, deploy, test, and enhance our products using a modern microservice ecosystem.
Architecture: Design for scale, high availability, performance, and security across the stack.
Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Architects, QA, and other developers in a highly collaborative Agile environment.
Problem Solving: Identify obstacles to ensure quality and continuously improve our user experience and engineering processes.
Innovation: Articulate technical decisions and offer valuable recommendations to the team.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Experience: 3+ years of software development experience.
Tech Stack: Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
Architecture: Experience with Microservices, Event-Driven Architectures, and Containerization (Docker).
Messaging: Hands-on experience with Kafka messaging systems.
Data: Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, as well as caching strategies.
Communication: Comfortable working in self-organized Agile teams with excellent written and verbal English skills.
NICE TO HAVE (BONUS POINTS):
Familiarity with Reactive Programming (e.g., RxJava) and Vert.x.
Experience with distributed and real-time systems.
Background in online gaming, gambling, or high-frequency trading.
