Microsoft AI Manager

Your Opportunity

As an AI Manager you are a hands-on leader who designs and ships advanced AI solutions, including agentic and multi-agent architectures, while supporting junior developers. You will combine modern AI patterns, engineering discipline and responsible AI principles to deliver safe, reliable and business-aligned outcomes.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Support ideation and requirements definition for new AI concepts for clients and KPMG
• Lead solution design for AI features using Azure AI Services and Azure Foundry Service, including prompt design, grounding, content filtering and evaluation.
• Design and implement agentic workflows, including task orchestration, tool use, dynamic planning and state aware decision flows.
• Architect and develop multi-agent systems, including agent coordination, routing logic, shared memory design, messaging protocols and performance optimisation.
• Implement RAG patterns using Azure AI Search or vector-enabled databases, including indexing strategies, chunking, reranking and safety guardrails.
• Work with data engineers to prepare data pipelines and features that support both traditional ML and agent-driven systems.
• Establish MLOps or LLMOps practices including evaluation pipelines, automated testing, CI/CD for models and agents, model registries, and monitoring for drift, safety and cost.
• Integrate AI features into applications through APIs, microservices and event-driven patterns, ensuring resilience, observability and operational readiness.
• Conduct code reviews, technical design sessions and structured mentoring to support junior developers.
• Produce high-quality documentation, reusable patterns and architectural assets to support scalable delivery.

Your Experience

• Hands-on development experience with Microsoft Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service or Azure AI Services, including advanced prompt design, evaluation, safety and reliability techniques.
• Deep experience designing and implementing agentic AI systems, including tool integration, dynamic decisioning and structured workflows.
• Experience with multi-agent architectures, such as dispatch patterns, planner/executor models, cooperative and competitive agent roles, shared memory systems and inter-agent communication strategies.
• Proficiency with RAG solutions, vector search, semantic caching and retrieval optimisation, using Azure AI Search or Cosmos DB for vector workloads.
• Strong engineering capability in Python or C#, including RESTful microservices, containerization and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with responsible AI principles including safety filtering, content moderation, governance, secure prompt handling, auditability and risk controls.
• Strong background collaborating with product, design, architecture and platform teams across Agile environments.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• Microsoft certifications in AI Engineer, Data Scientist or equivalent Azure specialties are preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
