We are currently seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) working a 12-hour shift with a 2/3 rotating schedule to join our clinical team.
We are currently seeking a full-time Mental Health Tech (MHT)/Transportation Driver for the day shift (6:45 AM - 7 PM) and night shift (6:45 PM - 7:00 AM) with a 2/3 block schedule to join our clinical team.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Mental Health Worker/Driver at Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles plays an important role in supporting patient care and daily facility operations by providing safe transportation services and assisting with maintaining a structured, therapeutic environment.
In this role, the Mental Health Worker/Driver safely transports patients to and from appointments, residences, and approved destinations while also assisting with meal pickups and other operational needs. This position supports the clinical team through patient supervision, answering phones, assisting with basic administrative duties, and providing coverage during staff breaks.
The Mental Health Worker/Driver closely monitors patient behaviors and interactions, helping ensure patient safety and promptly communicating any concerns or changes to nursing or leadership staff. This role requires strong communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
The ideal candidate is dependable, attentive, and passionate about supporting both patients and staff in a fast-paced behavioral healthcare environment.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: High School Diploma
License: Current Motor Vehicle License with clean MVR
Experience: Minimum experience of transporting patients in a 10-12 passenger van or similar type of vehicle 1-2
years experience preferred.
