Responsibilities:

A Metrology Quality Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met at our hot fire test stand. Here’s a brief overview of the typical responsibilities and qualifications for this role:

• Developing and implementing metrology procedures, techniques, and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Developing processes for calibration transfers.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address measurement-related issues and improve processes.

• Documenting measurement data and maintaining measurement records to support traceability and continuous improvement efforts.

• Analyzing quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement

• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance measurement accuracy and efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or related discipline.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve test equipment issues effectively.

• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

• 3+ years’ experience in metrology or quality control role.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.

• Knowledge of ISO 17025 requirements.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Certifications such as Certified Metrology Engineer, Certified Quality Engineer, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt, etc.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Employment Type: Exempt

The expected salary range for this role is $73,000-$116,000 annually. Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity, and is typically made within the midrange, rather than the upper end.
