This role requires a strong understanding of software engineering principles and experience with deployment automation, as well as experience with large-scale software development projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with AWS and experience with the MetOptima solution.

General Description:

Responsible for understanding the customer’s process, evaluating instrumentation, base layer control system and advanced process control system installations and requirements, understanding operational challenges, assist in identify opportunities for improvement and formulating solutions. Providing insight and guidance to the data science team on model development and optimisation strategies. Customize reports per customers’ needs in conjunction with the Platform Engineering team.

Responsible for conducting training and coaching at the customer site and customising the specific training material, as well as monitoring, analysis and reporting on performance and adoption KPIs. Provide frequent customisation of Operator Guides to match the customers’ plant environment.

The MetOptima Implementation Engineer will also guide the customer to understand the models and optimisation strategy as well as provide ongoing support on the product while addressing the customer’s technical queries.

Educational and Experience Requirement:

BSc/BEng Chemical Engineer

Advanced Process Control (APC), Base Layer Control, Industrial Networking, Minerals Processing

5 Years+ Designing, Installing and Maintaining Advanced Process Control systems in a minerals processing environment

A post-graduate qualification in control engineering or similar would be advantageous

Self-Driven, Independent, willing to Travel, Problem-Solving Oriented
