• Freelancers without experience editing for Shopify or DTC brands
• Editors unfamiliar with performance-driven ad structure
• Those without hands-on experience using b-roll overlays, hooks, pattern interrupts, and direct response pacing

Who We’re Looking For:
We are hiring a full-time Facebook Ad Video Editor with proven experience editing high-converting ads for Meta ads.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Edit 2 Facebook/Meta ad creatives per day
• Daily communication w/ strategists and team
• Source and layer b-roll overlays to increase retention
• Add dynamic captions, graphics, and motion elements
• Create multiple hook variations from the same footage
• Review performance data and iterate creatives accordingly
• Maintain organized file structures and version control
• Deliver edits on schedule without sacrificing quality
Skills Verification (Required Before First Interview)
To ensure alignment and verify capabilities, all shortlisted applicants must complete a sample assessment before the first interview.
You will be provided with:
• Raw footage
• Brand context
• Reference video to model editing off of
• Clear performance objective
You will be evaluated on:
• Hook strength
• Structure and pacing
• Use of b-roll overlays
• Overall direct-response effectiveness

Requirements:
• Minimum 1+ year of direct experience editing paid Meta ads
• Experience working with Shopify e-commerce brands
• Strong understanding of direct response advertising
• Proven ability to structure:
• Scroll-stopping hooks
• Clear problem/solution flow
• Strong CTAs
• Experience layering b-roll overlays, captions, motion graphics, and pattern interrupts
• Knowledge of what makes ads convert (retention, pacing, visual hierarchy)
