Without access to financial institutions, people are forced to keep their savings under the mattress. Small business owners rely on lenders who charge extortionate rates. Parents spend hours waiting in line to pay school fees in cash.

We're solving this by building financial services that just work: no account fees, instantly available, and accepted everywhere. In places where electricity, water and roads don't always work, you can still send money with Wave. In 2017, we launched a mobile app in Senegal for cash deposit, withdrawal, and peer-to-peer and business payments. Now, we have millions of users across 9 countries and are growing fast.

How you'll help us achieve it

Wave is now the largest financial institution in Senegal, with over 7 million users. And we’re still in the early days of our product roadmap and potential impact on people’s everyday lives.

We’re looking for a Merchant Distribution supervisor, dynamic with strong management skills, detail-oriented, and people-oriented. Distributor’s job involves spreading the word around the Wave payment product ''Payez avec Wave '' and engaging new payers. The Merchant Distribution Supervisor will help us reach our objective of creating a tremendous payer growth machine by successfully managing field merchant distributors.

In this role, you'll;

• Be responsible for acquiring users in a given area.

• Be in a key position to implement Wave’s rapid growth strategy.

• Managing a team of 25-50 merchant distributors.

• Onboard and train new merchant distributors to ensure they can perfectly subscribe, assist, and guide users according to the company values.

• Work closely with Territory Leads and Regional Leads to plan distribution activities in a given area and follow up.

• Work closely with Regional leads to set distribution activity planning in a given area and follow up.

• Monitoring the distributor's performance daily.

• Giving feedback to our product team and engineers to improve the distribution process and user experience.

• Work closely with our Below the Line Marketing Team to ensure Wave has a visible presence in CI.

• Location: You will be located in Yamoussoukro.

• Work authorization in Côte d’Ivoire.

• This is a permanent position.

Requirements

• Fluency in French is required.

• Excellent oral and written communication.

• Good relational and sales skills.

• Have some experience managing a team or some experience in distribution.

• Experience in field sales will be an added advantage.

• Have good analytical skills.
