Summary
We are seeking a passionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Hope Valley Health & Wellness in Wasilla Alaska. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to our mission of delivering transformative mental health care through evidence-based practices and holistic therapies.
Responsibilities:
Conducts psychosocial assessments and initiates a discharge plan at admission.
Maintains assigned caseload.
Facilitate appropriate therapeutic groups and individual therapy sessions.
May assist in educating and training staff on behavior management or therapeutic crisis intervention.
May assist in the training of new clinical staff and interns.
Completes utilization reviews in a timely manner.
Complete necessary community referrals and ensure continuity of care with other agencies as needed.
Conduct assessments, screenings, treatment planning, and managing clients' progress.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Current license, ACSW, LCSW, AMFT, LMFT, APCC or LPCC, preferred.
At least two (2) years of experience working with individuals with substance use disorder preferred.
Working knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy.
Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
Must have a current TB test or chest x-ray.
Must have and maintain a valid Alaska driver’s license, clean driving record, and maintain personal auto insurance coverage.
Knowledge of the requirements for providing services needed to clients.
Experience in electronic charting preferred.
Experience with conducting client group sessions, and one on one sessions is required.
Strong understanding of the principles and application of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA and CFR-42 client confidentiality regulations.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work well and quickly under pressure both individually and as part of a team.
Excellent project management skills to consistently meet deadlines.
Strong organizational skills with superior attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills
