Position: Member Service Representative
As a crucial member of our front-line team, the Member Service Representative plays a pivotal role in providing outstanding member service. Your responsibilities will include conducting member transactions and recommending tailored products and services to meet individual needs. We're looking for individuals who are passionate about guiding members and identifying solutions through our range of credit union products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcomes and establishes relationships by getting to know the members of Thrive Credit Union to provide wow customer service.
Responsible for processing transactions in a proficient and accurate manner.
Recommend products and services that will be beneficial and meet the member’s needs.
Be responsive to member needs and work to address problems and concerns in a professional and courteous manner in person, by phone, and/or via electronic services including e-mail and text.
Exhibits wow customer service behaviors, and adherence to operational procedures and processes.
Gain knowledge and understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.
Work as a team to complete daily tasks, demonstrating respect and professionalism with all employees and members of Thrive Credit Union.
Supports other credit union staff as needed with administrative duties related to front line member service.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
A passion for helping people
High school diploma or equivalent.
Comfortable handling cash and working with computers
Achieve proficiency in relevant Credit Union systems within 90 days.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong understanding of customer service principles.
Trustworthiness, integrity, and attention to detail.
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required for this position as you may be requested to travel between branches as staffing needs arise.
Availability to work Saturdays (8:45am-12:00pm).
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in credit union/banking.
Sales experience.
Proficiency in PC and internet usage.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
Work Environment:
Physical mobility and ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
Prolonged standing, concentration, and attention to security.
Potential temporary or permanent transfers to other branches.
