About the Role:
The Partnerships & Licensing Manager will serve as the operational backbone of melin’s growing collaborations division and will have experience in licensing and managing high value relationships. This role is designed for a high-energy professional who excels at balancing "the big picture" with "the tiny details”. You will manage a curated portfolio of key marketing partnerships projects, ensuring every brand interaction is seamless, professional, and high-impact. From managing sales operations and account setups to overseeing project timelines, your goal is to deliver a best-in-class experience for our partners while ensuring internal workflows remain efficient and scalable. You are the 'glue' between our high-level strategy and the physical product reaching the fan. You thrive in the details so our partners feel like they are part of the melin family.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support the operational execution of melin’s licensing and partnership programs.
Serve as the operational point of contact for a portfolio of licensing and marketing partners.
Manage licensing submissions, including product concepts, marketing assets, and campaign materials.
Route submissions through internal Asana approval workflows with Creative, Design, Legal, and Brand teams.
Manage brand approvals and maintain organized records of all submitted and approved materials.
Track licensing agreements, renewal timelines, and key contractual milestones.
Track quarterly royalty and giveback reports for all licensing partners.
Work with Finance to ensure reported sales align with royalty payments and contractual guarantees.
Develop comprehensive project timelines, identify potential risks, and facilitate cross-functional communication to ensure every "melin x Partner" touchpoint is executed with excellence.
Coordinate with Creative, Legal, Product, Finance, and Operations teams to move partnerships from contract to launch.
Support partner onboarding, including account setup and contract documentation.
Maintain accurate partner records within CRM and project management systems.
Process partnership-related orders and product allocations.
Identify and resolve operational issues throughout the partnership lifecycle.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in partnerships, sports marketing, licensing, or brand operations.
Highly organized with strong project management skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides); strong Excel skills preferred.
Experience with project management tools such as Asana required; familiarity with systems like Full Circle is a plus.
Self-motivated and proactive, with strong problem-solving abilities.
Able to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
Interest in or understanding of the sports, lifestyle, and cultural verticals melin operates in.
Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000 plus opportunity for annual bonus; salary is based on the experience that you bring to the position.
Location & Office Structure: This is an in-office hybrid position, mandatory 4 days per week in office in San Clemente, with the option to work from home 1 day per week. Subject to change without notice as per company guidelines. This position will require you to travel domestically and internationally from time to time.
