Job Overview
We are hiring a full-time Medical Virtual Assistant to serve as a remote receptionist and administrative support partner. This role plays a critical part in day-to-day operations, patient communication, scheduling, and virtual care coordination.
This position requires a Registered Nurse (RN) or Medical Doctor (MD) who can confidently support clinical and administrative workflows in a fully remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage inbound and outbound calls, text messages, and emails
• Schedule patient appointments, confirmations, and reminders
• Respond to patient inquiries, follow-ups, and general correspondence
• Coordinate prescription refill requests
• Support and manage telehealth visits and related platforms
• Maintain, update, and organize patient records
• Assist with remote patient monitoring tasks
• Apply strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
• Support chronic care management processes as needed
Requirements:
Experience Requirements
• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Medical Doctor (MD)
• Active or previous medical license is required
• Strong background in healthcare with relevant clinical or administrative experience
• Experience in chronic care management is preferred
• Previous experience working as a Medical Virtual Assistant is a plus
• Solid understanding of medical terminology and patient care workflow.
Basic Requirements
• Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly
• Must have relevant healthcare work experience
• Must be able to submit an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check prior to onboarding (mandatory)
• Must be available for video meetings with camera on when required
Technical Requirements
• Device: Reliable laptop or desktop computer
• Internet: High-speed internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps)
• Audio: Noise-canceling headset
• Video: Webcam for virtual meetings
