Job Title: Medical Virtual Assistant
Job Title: [KP-BPPT]
Position type: Part-Time
Working hours: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time, Mondays to Fridays
Salary: $5-$7 per hour depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
• Answer inbound calls and handle patient inquiries
• Make outbound calls to follow up on leads and missed inquiries
• Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments while optimizing the calendar
• Follow up on cancellations and reschedule patients
• Verify insurance (HMO, PPO) and explain copays, deductibles, and coverage
• Communicate effectively with both insurance and cash-pay patients
• Accurately input and maintain patient data in the EHR (Prompt or similar)
• Ensure all notes, insurance details, and agreements are documented
• Follow up on Facebook ad leads to improve conversion
• Support appointment booking and light sales (guide patients, collect card on file if needed)
• Assist with basic social media tasks (posting, captions, simple Canva graphic
Requirements:
• At least 1 year of experience with scheduling and patient coordination or any similar role
• Strong understanding of insurance verification (HMO, PPO, copays, deductibles)
• Familiarity with EHR systems (Prompt or similar)
• Proactive with follow-ups and able to work independently
• Organized and able to manage a provider’s calendar efficiently
• Comfortable with lead follow-up and appointment setting
• Basic knowledge of social media or Canva is a plus
Basic requirements
• Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly
• Must have relevant work experience
• Be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check before onboarding [mandatory]
• Must be available for video meetings with your camera on (when needed)
