About the role | Mō te tūranga:
Our Dunedin laboratory is seeking a dedicated Medical Typist to join our Histology Department. In this role, you will be responsible for typing accurate histology reports for pathologists, as well as handling general office and administrative duties. This is a permanent, full-time position, working 80 hours per fortnight.
You will also assist with work across the Awanui network, contributing to the efficient delivery of healthcare documentation.

Key responsibilities:
Maintain accuracy, speed and attention to detail to ensure quality standards are always upheld.
Answering phone calls from patients and referrers.
Other office tasks as required.

To be considered for this role you will need to:
Previous clinical typing experience (anatomical pathology preferred).
Fast (minimum 60 wpm), accurate typing (accuracy favoured over speed).
Knowledge of office systems.
Excellent command of the English language.
An organised and methodical approach to tasks.
Excellent communication and intrapersonal skills.
Reliable attendance.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
