Job Description

Job Title: Medical Transportation Driver

Department: Transportation

Report to: Transportation Director

Our growing company is searching for an experienced driver who will be responsible for the safety and reliability of transporting clients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, and pharmacies while adhering to all safety regulations and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide compassionate and respectful service to all clients.

· Address patient concerns and questions professionally.

· Maintain confidentiality and protect patient privacy.

· Patient Transportation: Pick up and drop off patients at designated locations (home, clinics, hospitals, etc.)

· Ensure patient comfort and safety during transportation.

· Assist patients with boarding and disembarking the vehicle, including wheelchair users.

· Secure wheelchair patients properly within the vehicle.

· Operate company vehicles safety and in accordance with traffic laws and regulation.

· Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections.

· Report any vehicle performance or maintenance issues.

Schedule Adherence:

· Follow assigned schedules and routes, ensuring timely arrival to appointments and retrieving the clients from all appointments.

· Communicate effectively with dispatch and patients to coordinate transportation.

· Dependable, punctual, and work independently with less supervision.

Documentation:

· Complete and maintain accurate records of patient transportation details.

· Follow company procedures for documentation and reporting.

Qualifications:

· Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

· Experience: Previous experience in patient transportation or driving is a plus.

· License/Certification: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, CPR and First Aid.

Skills:

· Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills

· Ability to assist clients with mobility needs.

· Familiarity with local roadways and traffic patterns

· Physical ability to lift and assist patients.
