Conducts chemical analyses of body fluids such as blood, urine, and spinal fluid, to determine
presence of normal and abnormal components. Studies blood cells, their numbers, and morphology. Performs blood group, type, and compatibility tests for transfusion purposes.

Requires basic laboratory skills and safety practices.

Good communication, interpersonal, and team skills. Attention to detail. Computer fluency in word
processing and spreadsheets. Good working knowledge of personal computer software programs in Windows environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Clipboard, Excel, Syphony or SAP software highly desired. An understanding of the clinical laboratory, the serology and disease processes desirable.
