• Hourly Range: $27.09 – $37.92 (based on experience)

• Estimated Annual Range: $56,000 – $79,000

Overview

We are seeking a licensed Medical Technologist to join a hospital-based clinical laboratory supporting acute patient care. This role performs accurate and timely diagnostic testing across multiple laboratory disciplines while maintaining strict quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented laboratory professional who thrives in a fast-paced night-shift environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing in accordance with established protocols

• Analyze proficiency testing samples within allowable timeframes

• Perform STAT testing and meet turnaround time targets

• Correlate and interpret patient results using sound clinical judgment, including delta checks

• Perform quality control procedures and troubleshoot abnormal findings

• Review pending and result logs; resolve outstanding workload issues

• Complete all required documentation related to patient testing and results

• Escalate critical values and laboratory issues appropriately

• Assume departmental responsibilities in the absence of a supervisor as needed

Required

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field

• Active Florida Medical Technologist License

• Licensure in one or more specialty areas:

• Blood Bank

• Chemistry

• Hematology

• Microbiology

• Serology

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist

• Generalist laboratory experience across multiple disciplines
