Job Description

Job description: Handle any incoming and outgoing records, including: requesting, following-up, processing, filing, etc. Handle any potential tasks related to medical and billing records. Classification: Full-Time Department: Records Report To: Director of Operations & Development
Responsabilities: Request medical records, billing records, and balances from various medical facilities, which may be completed via mail, fax, email, electronic portal, or phone. - Follow-up on outstanding medical records, billing records, and balances from various medical facilities, which may be completed via mail, fax, email, electronic portal, or phone. - Analyze client information to decide which records need to be requested, including: facility, dates of service, type of document, etc. - Problem-solve any issues that may arise from the receipt or non-receipt of records. - Call various medical facilities regarding a number of items, including but not limited to: o Requests o Follow-ups o Status o Invoices o Patient Balances (Including payments, payors, and outstanding amounts) - Promptly file and distribute records that arrive through electronic portals, such as CIOX and MRO, mail, and fax; Notify appropriate employees of the updated information. - Update case management system with data related to the records and balances. - Monitor the receival of invoices, making sure that they are analyzed, noted, and filed properly. Some invoices may require further assistance, such as filing disputes with the provider/record company. - Communicate through appropriate oƯice-wide channels with the entire on record and/or portal updates, as needed. - Assist other Solvo Legal Assistants, as needed. - Other duties, as assigned.
