Position: Medical Patient Care
Salary: PHP 102,000/month
Working Hours & Conditions: Mondays to Fridays; 7:00AM to 4:00PM Philippine Time

OVERVIEW:
The company is seeking a detail-oriented, empathetic, and highly organized Medical Patient Care Virtual Assistant to support their Australian healthcare practice. This isn't just a data entry role; you will be the bridge between the clinical team and their patients. You must have a deep understanding of the Australian healthcare landscape, including Medicare billing and private health funds.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reception & Scheduling: Manage the clinic calendar, book appointments, and handle patient inquiries via phone and email with a warm, professional manner.
• Billing & Claims: Process Medicare, DVA, and private health insurance claims using Pracsoft. Perform daily reconciliations and manage overdue accounts.
• Results Management: Utilize Medical Objects to receive, track, and organize specialist letters and pathology/imaging results.
• Patient Follow-up: Proactively contact patients to schedule follow-up appointments for test results or recurring treatments as directed by the doctor.
• Records Management: Maintain accurate digital patient files, ensuring all data is handled according to Australian Privacy Principles (APP).
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Australian Medical Expertise: Minimum of 2 years of direct experience working with an Australian GP or Specialist clinic.
• Software Mastery: Proficiency in Pracsoft (billing, scheduling, and patient records) and Medical Objects (secure messaging and results triaging).
• Medicare & Billing Literacy: Solid understanding of Medicare Item Numbers, Bulk Billing vs. Private Billing workflows, and DVA/Private Health Fund claiming.
• Compliance Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and the Privacy Act 1988 regarding the handling of sensitive health information.
• Clinical Correspondence: Ability to accurately manage pathology and imaging results, ensuring urgent notifications are flagged for the practitioner immediately.
• Communication: Exceptional English proficiency (written and verbal) with the ability to handle patient inquiries with empathy and professional boundaries.
• Autonomous Worker: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high output and accuracy.
• High Accountability: Takes ownership of the "Results Inbox" and billing errors, ensuring no patient task falls through the cracks.
