Telephone Operator
Job Overview

Telephone Operator Responsibilities & Duties
• Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner, providing accurate information
to callers
• Route calls to the appropriate department or individual, taking messages when necessary
• Utilize teams and other programs for coordinating transfers, answering questions, and
resolving patient inquiries in a timely manner
• Maintain an organized system for tracking and recording incoming calls
• Perform general administrative tasks, such as data entry and filing
• Provide excellent customer service, resolving issues and answering questions as needed
• Assist with the training of new telephone operators
• Basic KPI Averages: 80 calls per day, 4 min call handling time
Telephone Operator Qualifications & Skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-3 years of experience in customer service or administrative role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to think quickly and provide accurate information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with telephone systems
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
