Position Overview
Perez Morris is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Malpractice Attorney to join our Philadelphia office. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of medical and legal issues, strong research and writing skills, and experience assisting with cases from initial filing through resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Experienced trial lawyer with regular appearances in court conferences, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
Skilled in all aspects of litigation strategy from drafting pleadings, responding to written discovery motions and discovery demands, preparing motions, to negotiating settlements and preparing witnesses for trial.
Serve as the primary contact for corporate clients and insurers, providing regular updates, case assessments, and litigation plans.
Independently manage an assigned caseload and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of legal practice.
Provide strategic counsel and legal advice to clients throughout the litigation process.
Qualifications
Associate with 2–4 years of experience handling the defense of medical malpractice or personal injury litigation.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active license in good standing with the Pennsylvania Bar.
Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure cases and manage complex litigation matters.
Commitment to client service and ethical legal practice.
Exceptional attention to detail, strong writing and legal research skills, and a strong work ethic.
