Job Description
Mountain Community Health Partnership (MCHP) is seeking a full-time medial interpreter/translator who will also serve as a Patient Services Representative (PSR) when interpretation services are not required. This dual-role position is essential in ensuring that all patients - regardless of language - receive the highest quality of care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Interpreter/Translator:
Facilitate communication between non-English speaking patients and medical staff.
Translate medical information accurately and clearly, using appropriate terminology.
Maintain patient confidentiality and cultural sensitivity at all times.
Assist with appointment reminds and patient follow-ups.
Translate written materials and support staff with language needs.
As a Patient Services Representative (PSR):
Greet and check in patients with professionalism.
Manage appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and co-pay collection.
Answer and direct phone calls; provide general clinic information.
Support administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Interpreter/Translator certification or training preferred.
Experience: Fluent in English and Spanish. Experience in a medical office setting and knowledge of medical terminology.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, detail-oriented, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and critical thinking skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
