Reports to: Compliance Team Lead
Job Summary: The Medical Compliance Specialist is responsible for working together with our Compliance Department to provide continuous and comprehensive care to our staff and help maintain the active employment of our caregivers by assisting all caregivers with required annual medical appointments and ongoing forms required to maintain work eligibility. Exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are vital in performing these duties effectively.
Reporting and Tracking:
● Ensure that all documentation is uploaded accurately in all personnel records
● Process compliance reports for current caregivers, including medical and I9 requirements
● Publish and maintain monthly tracking spreadsheets with updates to share progress on required medicals with the Compliance Department.
Caregiver Follow-Up:
● Contacting caregivers to attend medical appointments for annual medical requirements
● Make appointments for caregivers using collaborating clinics
● Following up with employees for missing or overdue documentation
● Answer phone calls and return messages to handle all inquiries within their capacity
● Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and the ability to prioritize workload
● Communicate to the Compliance Team lead any caregivers being placed on HOLD for outdated or missing medical requirements
● Attend weekly Compliance Department meetings and share progress on a monthly spreadsheet
Audit Requirements: New hire audits, as requested
Job requirements:
● Must be bilingual in Spanish
● HS graduate/ GED equivalent
● Experience using HHA eXchange a plus
● Prior experience in HR is preferred
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
● Strong computer skills, proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.- Experience using HHA Exchange
● Sensitivity to confidential matters
● Strong self-initiative, problem-solving skills, time management
● Accuracy and attention to detail, outgoing, positive personality, team player
