This position plays a vital role in preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals through high-quality instruction, mentorship, and clinical supervision.

Position Overview
The Instructor of Nursing is responsible for teaching and supervising nursing students in classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical settings. Faculty members also contribute to curriculum development, student advising, and program improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Instruction
Deliver classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction to nursing students.
Develop and implement lesson plans, course materials, and assessments aligned with course objectives.
Utilize a variety of instructional methods and technologies to support diverse learning styles.
Supervise students in clinical settings and ensure safe patient care practices.
Student Support & Evaluation
Evaluate student performance using established grading tools and rubrics.
Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and counseling to support student success.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, clinical performance, and grades in the college learning management system.
Conduct pre- and post-clinical conferences and provide constructive feedback.
Program & Institutional Support
Participate in curriculum development and assessment activities.
Assist with student recruitment, admissions activities, and program evaluation.
Attend faculty meetings and collaborate with program faculty and administration.
Serve as a liaison with healthcare partners and clinical sites.

Education and Certification
Required - Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting or a closely related field Preferred - Bachelor’s Degree in a Healthcare-Related Field
Required - Current Medical Assistant Certification (CCMA)
Additional Requirement:
Candidates must hold and maintain a current Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) credential.
Work Environment
This role includes instruction in:
Classroom settings
Nursing skills laboratories
Simulation environments
Healthcare clinical sites
Faculty may be required to travel between campuses or clinical locations as needed.
