Brookline College is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant Instructor/Externship Coordinator for our Phoenix campus. This role is responsible for both classroom/lab instruction and externship course management. Duties include delivering engaging, student-centered instruction; developing lesson plans and learning objectives; evaluating student progress; maintaining accurate records; supporting diverse student needs; and participating in faculty activities.
The position also oversees externship programs by coordinating student placements, maintaining employer partnerships, monitoring student progress and attendance, conducting site visits, ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards, and collaborating with Career Services to support employment outcomes. Additional responsibilities include student retention efforts, professional communication, data collection, project management, and adherence to college policies and procedures.
• Minimum of a high school diploma; Associate degree preferred
• Graduate of an Allied Health Diploma Program preferred
• Three (3) years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant.  Advanced education or a college degree is preferred but will consider candidates with equivalent experience
• Demonstrable expertise in Medical Assisting 
• Ability to mentor a highly diverse student population
• Ability to work independently
• Proficient in interpersonal oral presentation and excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Powerpoint, Campus View, and Canvas ( or other Learning Management Systems)
