Position Overview

The Medical Assistant (Float) plays a vital role in supporting multiple physician clinic locations, serving as a key link between patients and providers. This position delivers high-quality clinical and administrative support while ensuring a seamless and positive patient experience.

Position Details

Employment Type: Full-Time

Department: Physician Clinics (Float Position)

Schedule: General office hours; days vary

Travel: No external travel required (float between clinics)

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Incentive: Commitment bonus up to $5,000

Key Responsibilities

Obtain and accurately document vital signs and patient information

Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during visits and procedures

Perform phlebotomy and collect, label, and process specimens

Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations

Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas in a clean and organized manner

Communicate effectively with patients and care teams, both in person and via telephone

Provide patient education as appropriate

Support multiple clinic locations as part of the float team

Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all regulatory and organizational standards

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred

Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – required

Employment Requirements

Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)

Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)
