On Demand is seeking a Medical Assistant for our office in Austintown, Ohio.
On Demand Counseling is a trusted provider of outpatient counseling and recovery-focused services. We are seeking a Medical Assistant who is motivated, dependable, and eager to grow within a mission-driven organization.
This role supports a male recovery program, including court-ordered observed screenings, and operates within a gender-specific treatment environment.
Position Summary:
The Medical Assistant plays a key role in supporting clinical operations by providing direct patient care, assisting providers, and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience in a medium to fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
Perform patient intake, triage, and vital signs; update medications and medical history
Provide clinical support including venipuncture, injections, vaccines, EKGs, wound care, and urinalysis (observed collections)
Assist with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) workflows and patient support
Document accurately in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and maintain compliance
Coordinate patient flow, scheduling support, referrals, and front/back office tasks
Communicate with patients, families, and care team to support patient-centered care
Follow infection control and safety protocol
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Medical Assistant certification preferred, but not required
Successful completion of BCI/FBI background check and pre-employment drug screen
Phlebotomy experience preferred
Experience in behavioral health, addiction medicine, or MAT preferred.
Experience with medical terminology and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
