Superstaff is seeking a highly skilled Medical Appointment Scheduler to join a fast-paced healthcare provider.
In this role, you are the crucial first point of contact for patients. We are looking for a true professional with exceptional customer service skills and a strong background in the U.S. healthcare industry. Your primary goal is to manage a high volume of inbound calls, schedule patients efficiently, and ensure all data is 100% accurate.
What You'll Do:
• Manage high-volume inbound calls with outstanding phone etiquette (answering promptly and professionally).
• Accurately schedule patient appointments using EMR software, understanding the specific time requirements for various procedures.
• Conduct insurance eligibility verification using online portals (e.g., Availity).
• Ensure all necessary insurance referrals and authorizations are secured before the patient's appointment.
• Collect and enter all patient demographic and insurance information with high attention to detail.
• Proactively manage the provider's schedule by filling empty slots and communicating cancellations.
Requirements:
• You must have prior experience working within the U.S. healthcare system. This includes roles in a medical office, for an insurance company, or in a related healthcare setting.
• An advance level of English and Spanish.
• Exceptional Soft Skills:
• Customer Service: A professional, empathetic, and clear communicator.
• Attention to Detail: Flawless accuracy in data entry and insurance verification is essential.
• Multitasking: Proven ability to handle a multi-line phone system, EMR data entry, and insurance portals at the same time.
• Core Skills:
• Familiarity with medical office knowledge and EMR software.
• Demonstrates initiative and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
