Job Title: Medical Administrative Assistant (EMR & Insurance Verification)
Position Type: Part-Time
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time
Salary: $5 – $6 per hour (depending on experience)
Workplace: Remote
Preferred Candidate Location: Philippines
Our client is looking for a highly detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant with proven experience in insurance verification and healthcare administration. This is a backend, non-patient-facing role focused on accuracy, efficiency, and strong EMR system usage.
This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in structured environments and have hands-on experience working with U.S. healthcare processes.
Key Responsibilities
Top Priorities:
• Perform insurance verification with a high level of accuracy (critical function)
• Accurately input and manage patient data in EMR systems
• Create and maintain patient encounters
Additional Tasks:
• Send patient confirmations via automated texting system (Weave)
Requirements:
Required Skills and Experience
• Proven experience in insurance verification (required – applications without this will not be considered)
• Strong background in healthcare administration or clinical setting
• Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems (Practice Fusion or similar)
• Demonstrated ability for high-accuracy data entry and encounter creation
Basic Requirements
• Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
• Ability to communicate in real-time and work effectively across time zones
• Must have relevant work experience in healthcare/admin roles
• Must provide NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance prior to onboarding (mandatory)
• Must be available for video meetings with camera on, when required
Technical Requirements
• Device: Reliable laptop or desktop computer
• Internet: Stable high-speed connection (minimum 15 Mbps) (must be reliable for real-time communication)
• Audio: Noise-canceling headset
• Video: Webcam for virtual meetings
• Workspace: Quiet, professional environment
Additional Notes on Qualifications
• Medical degree: Not required
• Virtual Assistant experience: Preferred but not required
• Medical license (doctor, nurse, PT, etc.): Not required
