Position: Mechatronics Engineer
Location: Detroit, MI
Duration: Fulltime
Mandatory Requirement:
• 5+ to 10 Years of Industrial experience
• Mechanical and Electrical Component Design
• Concept Designing
• Individual Component Designing (Plus)
• Experiment and Device Development
• R&D Experience
• Mechatronic experience
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Systems preferred).
• Previous experience with mechatronic systems (i.e. associated with multidisciplinary machinery, laboratory systems, test systems, manufacturing systems, etc.).
• Strong analytical skills enabling colleague to understand, implement customer/user needs and develop design and market requirements. Collect data, draw conclusions, develop and evaluate design solutions and alternatives. Make recommendations to management.
• Evidence of ability to understand and complete work taking a system point-of-view.
• High level of verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical ideas and solutions to a wide variety of audiences.
• Evidence of ability to present information to project teams, management and manufacturing groups. Lead project teams for small to medium complexity projects.
• Proven organization and planning skills and the ability to handle multiple, concurrent projects, meeting budgetary and time goals.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals.
• Proficiency with computer tools including Microsoft Office, systems analysis and data management.
• Proven ability to work in both a team and individual capacity with limited supervision.
Preferred Skills:
• Five (5) years of product and/or systems design experience in engineering or research and development
• Experience with 3D CAD tools and design
• Software development experience
• Lean Six Sigma exposure or experience.
