Mechanical System Design & Analysis Engineer (Entry-level or Associate)

The Boeing Training Systems Hardware Design Engineering Team is looking for a Mechanical System Design & Analysis Engineer in Hazelwood, MO. The selected candidate will be responsible for the design, development, manufacture, and maintenance of support equipment for a variety of military rotorcraft.
You will support the development and documentation of mechanical and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design. Support the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups. Perform limited detail design development and modification of mechanical installations. Support team in performing spatial integration at system or component level and modification of mechanisms.
Position Responsibilities:
• Define and document moderately complex mechanical system requirements.
• Create and update mechanical hardware designs
• Prepares technical documents for mechanical components and systems.
• Solves problems concerning fielded hardware over the entire product lifecycle.
• Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
• Supports proposal preparation and new business development efforts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
• Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (NX, AutoCAD, Catia, etc.)
• Experience in mechanical design
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• 1+ years of higher education and/or related work experience. (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited course of study in mechanical or aerospace engineering plus 3 or more years of industry experience
• Mastery of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (NX, AutoCAD, Catia, etc.)
• 3 or more years of experience in mechanical design

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for Entry-level (Level 1): $71,400 - $96,600
Summary pay range for Associate level (Level 2): $85,000 - $115,000
