Job Title: Mechanical Fitter 
Location: Immingham 
Hours: 40 hours per week 
Looking for a hands‑on engineering role where your skills make a real impact? Join SGS Valve Services as a Mechanical Fitter and play a key role in delivering high‑quality valve maintenance, repair, overhaul and certification services for our customers.
This role offers a great mix of workshop and site‑based activities, giving you variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to work as part of an experienced technical team within a global organisation known for quality and integrity.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Carrying out valve maintenance, repair, overhaul and certification activities safely and efficiently, ensuring work is completed to a high technical standard and customer deadlines are met.
• Providing mechanical and technical support to colleagues, engineers and clients, contributing to best practice and continuous improvement.
• Working in line with SGS procedures, risk assessments and industry standards, with safety and compliance at the heart of everything you do.
• Completing job documentation and certification accurately and on time, ensuring full quality and legislative compliance.
• Supporting overall team and departmental performance through safe working behaviours, correct use of SGS equipment, and a commercially aware approach to service delivery.

Minimum
• Full Drivers License for use in the UK
• Mechanical Fitting Background
• Fork Lift Truck License
Desirable 
• Mechanical Fitter (Apprentice trained or equivalent) with at least 3 years within a mechanical engineering discipline.
• NVQ Level 2
• Safety Passport
• Knowledge of Valve certification and overhaul requirements
