AECOM's Mechanical Engineering group is seeking a dynamic, talented Mechanical Engineer for immediate employment to be based out of our Tampa, FL location.
This position will work within the Building & Places (B+P) organization and will provide engineering expertise in relation to Buildings, Facilities, or other structures within B+P.  AECOM’s Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, master planning, urban planning, civil engineering, and landscape architecture.  Our Tampa office includes all disciplines and regularly works across offices and the region.
Key aspects of this position include:
• Leading design efforts of the mechanical systems from concept through construction across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring quality, compliance, and innovation.
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, vendors, and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Preparing and delivering high-quality drawings (AutoCAD and Revit), construction documents, specifications, reports and help in cost estimates.
• Providing input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
•  Compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Performing quality control review of design calculations and drawings.
• Participating in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Mentoring junior engineers.
• Conducting site visits to document and evaluate mechanical systems.
Minimum Requirements
• BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License or ability to obtain within 1 year. 
• AutoCAD and Revit professional experience.
• HVAC and/or Plumbing design experience. 
Preferred Qualifications 
• 10+ years of related mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience as a lead engineer on project design, with Federal experience beneficial.
• Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
• Relocation is not available for this position.
