Your role at Baxter

Looking for an opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom to real-world projects? Join Baxter’s R&D Mechanical Engineering team and gain hands-on experience developing life-saving medical technologies. This Co-Op is your chance to work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to meaningful projects, and build skills that will set you apart in your career.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Work with engineers, designers, and technicians to solve real technical challenges.
• Support design efforts from early prototypes to production-ready solutions.
• Assist with product testing and data analysis to ensure quality and performance.
• Update designs and drawings that directly support engineering activities.
• Help troubleshoot issues and participate in root cause investigations.

What You Will Bring

• Familiarity with 3D modeling (Creo 7.0 preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
• Team player with great communication skills.
• Organized, dependable, and proactive mindset.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Students pursuing an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• First-time Co-Ops and those with prior experience are welcome!

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a pay rate of $26.00 - $28.00 an hour.
