Mechanical Engineer (Reverse Engineering / Scan-to-CAD) - Remote (LATAM)

We are hiring Mechanical Engineers in LATAM to support U.S.-based engineering projects in a remote, full-time, long-term contractor capacity.

This role is ideal for engineers with strong experience in reverse engineering and scan-to-CAD workflows, working from 3D scan data to replicate, analyze, and redesign mechanical parts and components.

Most of the work is developed in SolidWorks, and the projects typically support industrial and manufacturing applications across different sectors.

What You’ll Do

• Develop mechanical models and engineering deliverables based on 3D scan data
• Perform scan-to-CAD and reverse engineering work for existing parts and systems
• Support dimensional interpretation and validation tasks
• Collaborate remotely with the engineering team on U.S.-based projects
• Contribute to mechanical design and engineering tasks as needed

Requirements:
Mechanical Engineering background (degree or equivalent experience)

Strong experience in reverse engineering / scan-to-CAD workflows

Experience working with 3D scan data

Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks (daily use)

Experience in industrial and manufacturing environments

Ability to interpret GD&T and dimensional requirements

Previous experience supporting U.S. clients or U.S.-based projects

Strong communication skills in English

Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) in a remote contractor role
