We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in engineering consultancy to support the design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical systems across construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring experience from a consulting environment, with a focus on design review, technical advisory, and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and review mechanical system designs (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) in line with project requirements and international standards.
• Perform engineering calculations and validate design assumptions to ensure system efficiency and compliance.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical submittals from contractors and consultants.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (architectural, structural, electrical) to ensure proper system integration.
• Provide technical input during design stages, value engineering, and design optimization.
• Support project teams during construction by addressing RFIs and resolving technical issues.
• Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment with project scope and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, codes, and international standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.).
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in mechanical engineering within a consultancy environment (engineering/design firms).
• Strong experience in design and review of MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (MEP); knowledge of HAP or similar tools is a plus.
• Solid understanding of international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.) and UAE regulations.
• Experience in design coordination and working with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills, ability to present and justify technical decisions.
