You’ll work across the full project lifecycle, designing mechanical systems and influencing decisions from day one. You won’t just deliver designs, you’ll help shape how projects perform, working closely with teams, clients, and stakeholders.
What You'll Do
Design mechanical building services systems across multiple sectors
Deliver projects from concept through to construction and handover
Produce calculations, specifications, and technical reports
Coordinate with electrical engineers, architects, and design teams
Attend client meetings and contribute to engineering decisions
Support site inspections, commissioning, and final delivery
Drive energy-efficient and sustainable design solutions
What You'll Bring
Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
2 to 5+ years' experience in a consultancy or similar environment
Strong HVAC and building services design experience
Experience with IES, Hevacomp, or similar; Revit beneficial
Ability to manage workload across multiple projects
Strong communication and client-facing skills

The Essentials
Competitive salary, bonus and pension that reflect your impact
22 to 27 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
Flexible working across a 37.5 hour week: early start or later start? You decide

Why IN2?
Across every role, electrical, mechanical, or BIM, the IN2 difference is the same: you're expected to think, lead, and shape outcomes, not just execute instructions. Here's what sets us apart.
Ownership from Day One
Whether you're an Engineer or a Senior, you'll have real accountability and decision-making authority. No waiting for permission. No layers of sign-off slowing you down.
Progression Based on Ability
Faster progression based on what you deliver, not how long you've been in the seat. A clear pathway from Engineer to Senior, Associate, and beyond.
Innovation Time
Dedicated time to develop new ideas, explore emerging technologies, and contribute to sustainability strategies: built into how we work, not bolted on.
High-Performance, Low-Ego Culture
A team that challenges each other, supports each other, and wins together. No hierarchy for hierarchy's sake. Just talented people doing exceptional work.
Complex, High-Profile Projects
Exposure to design-led, high-impact developments that push the boundaries of what building services engineering can achieve.
Global Reach
Work across offices in Dublin, London, Berlin, Belfast, Athlone, and Madrid- a genuinely international practice with a collaborative, connected culture.
