We are looking for an experienced and detail-driven Accounting Manager to drive our accounting operations in a SOX-compliant environment. This role is key to ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls and effective project accounting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of US and BE GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, and project-based accounting practices. You report directly into the European CFO.

Job description

As an Accounting Manager you will be responsible for the accounting process from a to z.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations (GL and subledgers) in US GAAP and BE GAAP and ensure that they are all complete, accurate and efficient

• Ensure compliance with SOX controls and support internal/external audits

• Manage a small accounting team

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual (statutory and US GAAP Group) financial statements for the local Board of Directors and the Redwire Corporate accounting team

• Act as back-up for the Accounts Payable accountant in case of absence

• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures

Desired skills/experience/knowledge:

• Finance bachelor's degree or equivalent by experience.

• At least 3 years of experience, preferably as an auditor (or an equivalent).

• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (preferably AX and D365)

• Experience working in a corporate environments is a plus.

• Knowledge of US GAAP is a plus.

• You are detail-oriented, hands-on and have strong analytical skills.

• You’re open to change and can handle the dynamics of a growing company.

• You enjoy taking ownership and want to take on all aspects of accounting.

• Strong knowledge of Dutch and English.

• You’re a teamplayer and are looking for a small team to bounce ideas off of and help colleagues out where you can.
