Mechanical / Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineer
About the position: We are looking for a talented mechanical/aeronautical/aerospace engineer with expertise in structural and thermal design, to support us in providing solutions for satellite electronics. In this position you will design, build, test, and validate all the structural and thermal hardware required for Novo Space products. You will closely collaborate with the electrical engineers that develop our electronic components.
Responsibilities:
Conceptualize and create mechanical and thermal designs for new products.
Analyze problems using analytical and finite element methods to see how mechanical and thermal devices might help solve them.
Analyze test results and adapt designs or systems as needed. Oversee the manufacturing process for devices.
Develop testing procedures and specifications for validation of new designs (thermal vacuum / vibrations / shock).
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors.
Document work in a detailed manner to track project development and design process.
Required experience/skills:
Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering
Experience in:
Mechanical design using CAD software such as SolidWorks (preferred), AutoCAD, or similar
Finite Element Analysis software (ANSYS preferred)
CNC manufacturing
Environmental test planning and execution (thermal vacuum / vibration / shock).
Excellent math skills: ability to apply advanced mathematical principles and statistics to solve problems
Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability
Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
Self-motivation and strong teamwork skills
Strong English skills
